If you're a yanks fan
Do you care half as much about the mets as the mets fans seem to care about the yanks?
I mean when I see the mets score I either say ooh good for them or ooh that sucks. Mets fans seem to be up there with sox fans

ETA -- When I was in college, MD always tried to make it seem like they had this huge rivalry with Carolina... Meanwhile, Carolina fans were like "Yeah, you come after Duke and State..."
I think both sets of fans have both types of people. I know Yankee and Mets fans who "hate" the other team and fans who couldn't care less.
I like to get caught up in the rivalry -- and I don't even check the Yanks scores!

im totally with you Deb! i feel like red sox and mets fans just hate on the yankees but mean while yanks fans could care less what the sox and mets are doing! at least this yanks fan could care less!

I think that's too broad of a generalization... However, I will admit I'm a crashing Mets fan... so I will leave the Yankees fans to their fandom without butting in anymore! 
And PS I don't have Yankee fans. Just the Yankees.

First lets start that I hate sports, but I live in a house with die hard Yankee fans. They don't like the mets, but Hate the Red Sox.

Yep... my sisters (Mets fans) are out for blood... FH and I (Yanks fan) just sort of sit there and let them sound ridiculous

Crashing as a Met fan- my DH is a HUGE Yankee fan. Unless its the Year 2000 and the World Series, we both root for each other.
AND both HATE the Red Sox...

I'm a Yankees fan, and I care about the Mets. Not just bc of Kevin, but bc I always root for NY teams. I figure, if the Yankees can't go all the way then I'd like to see the Mets do it. Better than the championship going to another American League team, and possibly the one that defeated the Yanks.

I'm a yankees fan. DH is a HUGE, HUGE (did I say HUGE) Mets fan. I watch more Mets games then I care to, but hey, I like sports overall....
The Mets can play some great small ball when they are on, and Reyes and Wright are fun to watch for sure.
I guess I would just love for them to win so I DON'T have to hear it anymore...
