Anyway, do not feel alone in your decision. People will never be happy...you have another girl, you then you need to try for the boy...they will only be happy if you have one boy and one girl, only then will people leave you alone.
Ahh if only it were that easy I had a girl and then 3 years later a boy. EVERYONE kept telling me “I now have the perfect family so I should stop” even though they knew I wanted more. I had a third so I guess I don’t have the perfect family anymore. Now you should see the faces when I say I want a fourth. I never get upset about these things but I finally had enough the other night when mil tried to convince dh to get us to stop. So annoying!
Op- sorry for high jacking lol. Point is... no matter what you have someone will find something to say!

Absolutely! People will always find things to say no matter what your situation is! I will never understand that. We have 3, which is what we decided on together. Our first two were boys, so everyone told me "You have to go for the girl." I always said, "We will go for a third but don't care whether it is a boy or a girl." And then we had a girl and now people always say, "You got your girl, so you can stop." I just don't get it. What works for you and your family is your own personal business. Why on earth do people feel the need to voice their opinions on something so personal??

The same thing happened with us. We had DS, and then DD 3 years later, so of course everyone "decided" that we're done, since we had one of each. We had quite a few people make comments along those lines once DD was born....

Not sure why the "perfect" family has to be a boy and a girl. If I wanted another, I'd definitely want another girl, hands down!

Me too. I’ve always said I would want 2 of the same because IMO, they are more likely to be close Not saying a boy/girl pair can’t be close but there is a greater chance if they are the same sex.
Someone asked me if I were to have an oops (which shouldn’t happen, because birth control) would I rather a boy or girl and I was like “I want neither equally.”

I wanted another girl, too. Don't get me wrong, I'm excited now... more excited than I thought I would be to have a boy, but I always pictured DD with a little sister.
DD and DH were at the ultrasound and we all found out together that it's a boy and my DD LOVES to tell people that when they told us the gender I said "Oh Jesus Christ, it's a boy!"

Re: If you're one and done
That is hilarious!
I had a girl, wanted another girl and got another girl. Then for #3, I actually didn’t care, but when out came a boy, I freaked out for like months...ummm, and we found out at birth But fast forward, let me tell you...for me, the son rises and sets on my boy. Simply don’t know what I’d do without him
And just so I don’t stray too far off the topic, there have been those times I’ve wished I were “one and done” because they all went downhill after her So rock on, ladies!

It's funny- when DD was born she was such a God awful newborn that I thought that was the reason I was done. I could never do that again. And she was no great shakes as a toddler either. But how the tides have turned, because now I say I am done because she is just perfection and I don't want to push my luck!
