If you've cut the cable cord. . .
What TV services to you use and how much do you pay monthly for those services plus internet service? Trying to decide if it would be worth it for me (I need to have at least some live network channels for news)

We pay approx. $50 for internet thru Optimum (I think it's less than that, but I'm not sure).
We use Sling TV and our package is $25 a month. It's a basic package, no HBO or other movie channels, but so far, we are really happy with it.

When we didn't have cable- we paid $60 through TWC (Now Spectrum) for internet. I already use Amazon Prime- which is like $100 for the year but I would have even without using it for TV/movies. I also subscribe to Netflix and Hulu. We now have Optimum and pay about $230 so significantly more.

So, Sling is the only TV service that you pay for? No hulu or Netflix or anything else?

We use streaming box. We don't pay for anything monthly except internet. All the channels are there and it streams all live tv. We can watch Hulu, Netflix, HBO, Showtime, everything.

We pay $10/mo for Netflix (forgot to add that because we have been using Netflix well before we got rid of cable).
