ikea kicks a$$
i am trying to do a wall of pics, but in order to do it, i want all the same frames, in various sizes. so i had these wooden frames from ikea and started to do this. i went today and unfortunately, they didn't have the mini frames anymore, just 4x6's. but they have these clear glass 4x6 frames that are frameless, i guess, held together by clips. they were 4 for 99 cents!!!!! and so i started to do this but mixing the frameless and wooden frames just wasn't working. so i think i will do the wall with these frameless frames. i am so excited. i feel so martha-ish!!!!!!!!!
clip frames
this is what i want to do... Image Attachment(s):

I have those clip frames. be careful, the backing isn't very sturdy and the clips may or may not put a dent in your photograph. Otherwise, they look great

Re: ikea kicks a$$
I did something similar at my Dad's house but with all different wood frames and for very old pics... family pics from the 1920's to the 1950's all B & W.
My one suggestion is put them all in frames and arrange them on the floor first. Keep moving them around until you find the arrangement you like... sizes, balance, subject matter, etc. then start hanging. If the frames are different sizes and you don't lay them out first you might find you have a lot of exposed holes when you go to move them in the arrangement.

I've never been to Ikea. I've always wanted to check it out. I've just never had a chance.
