IL advice needed (long)
I can't stand my in-laws and I have to see them this weekend and I am dreading it!! I'm thinking of playing the pregnancy card and playing sick. What would you do??
Would you go? Any advice? Thanks!!

They sound like selfish, nasty people. I'm so sorry you have to deal with them!
Right now, you and DH have to make choices to protect your health and well-being. If you feel that NOT going will make the ILs be hard for DH to deal with and then you will be worried, it might be easier to just go and say you are nauseaus and spend the weekend lying down with a book in the guest bedroom.
But, if DH is okay with it, don't go at all!

I would probably go. But, if the sh!t starts i would use the pregnancy thing on hubby & tell him you really don't feel great & go home.

If it means a lot to DH, I would say go.. If they live close enough you could always run to the bathroom "sick" as an excuse to leave!! Pregancy does wierd things to people you know!!

I would go for DH. I cant stand my IL's (long story) but I see them 1-2 a month (they live 1/2 hour away) for him. We only stay about
1-2 hours and leave. I have to say every time we leave DH always says thank you.

My MIL is the biggest PITA in the WORLD!!!
Not to mention sneaky and rude... and has made more than one happy time for me...MISERABLE!!
However, I try and keep peace...and attend EVERY family function because of DH. He always says he dosent care what we do about them...but I dont wanna be the one (like you said) to isolate him from his family..
Ignore them the best you can...but try not to get yourself stressed out ....I know its so hard!

God I have to see my ILs this wk end too and Im dreading it!!
I would say play the sick card....but it would probably mean a lot to DH that you go.
