I'm baaaaaaack from Nashville

I am so exhausted and hurting!!!

We left the office on Wed June 8 and arrived in Nashville that afternoon at 3:30, Nashville time. They are 1 hour behind us.

After getting checked in and settling down, my boss who is the director of operations and my co-worker went downstairs to help with registration. Registration started at 3:00 and we went down at 6pm. We did registration till about 7:30. By this time all of us were starving because the last time we ate was a granola bar on the plane. We finished up registration then had to put on skirts and head to the Executive Directors Suite for a vendor mixer. Thank goodness their was food. The mixer was really nice, and all my co-worker and I cared about was we were finally having something to eat. After the mixer we had a quick 15 minute meeting to discuss what time we had t meet in the morning. My co-worker and I headed back to our room and called it a night at 11pm. We had to be up at 3:45am, breakfast was room service and coming at 4am. We had to meet at 5:30am to get ready for the day.

Our room was awesome. We were in the garden conservatory and had a balcony. We were all right next door to each other so it was easy for us to work.

June 9th: We got our tables set up for registration and giving out the tickets to the training. I was told to go to the Washington room with the Executive directors assistant who is also his wife and help her look at tickets. The executive director came up to me and asked me to go downstairs to registration and help out because they are getting mobbed. The line was down the hallway to the shops. My boss with 3 volunteers looked like they were ready to pull their hair out and it was barely 7am. I was working the standby line and I cant believe how rude people can be. People pushing and shoving other people, arguing how they have been on line for long period of time, and complaining it was 7am and the vendor training was starting and they were not in the room. I wanted to just kick some people.

We did all of this registration till about 10am. At 10 my boss called it, closed registration to anyone new and told me to just relax for a few minutes.

The session ended at 12:30. We packed up, had a briefing and went to lunch. We were going to meet back at 3:30 to open up the store.

We met back at 3:30 and worked the store till 9pm. We were actually to stay open till 10 but my boss said we are calling it a night at 9 because we still have to pack up and go over orders.

We did all of that then went to the suite which became our office and processed some orders. We were their till 10:30 and ready to just drop.

June 10: we were in the store all day. We were selling starter packs and shirts as well as taking orders for other products and taking orders for those who wanted to attend Sunday's meeting.

We started at 7am and were on and off all day. In the time we were not in the store we were processing orders and getting something to eat. We were also taking photo's for the ID cards and the CLIA cards. CLIA is the cruise line industry assosciation card that is offered to travel agents and referring travel agents. We worked that till 9. My boss and I worked the pictures. I was the photographer and she did the paperwork. I kept telling everyone please step into my portrait studio. Processed orders till 10:30 and called it a night.

June 11 was the same as June 10. We called it a night at 7pm. Went up to the suite, organized all our papers and got everything all squared off. My co-worker and I headed to our room to freshen up. My boss called us and told us to just put on jeans and get comfy for dinner. Originally dinner was suppose to be an entire staff dinner but the executive director wound up closing a last minute deal so the dinner crew was my boss, my coworker and myself. Which honestly I would have not traded that dinner for any staff dinner. We had a blast the 3 of us. We had drinks and toasted a good week. We survived Nashville.

Some funny moments during the week of us so exhausted my boss called her room her office. She said to us we'll just put the stuff in my office. I was so wiped out I went to my carry on bag called it my draw and was looking for the stapler. And the best I had completly forgot my password for my work stuff. I kept typing in my co-workers password and had to call the IT guy for him to give me my password. He asked me what I thought my password was and I drew a blank on my name.

It is so good to be home. I am aching!!
