I'm back. Again.
After losing my 8 week pregnancy this past May, I just found out I am losing another at 8 weeks again too. I don't know what to think.
I am going with the cytotec option this time around. Doctor will insert Wednesday morning and said everything should pass within 12-24 hours. Any advice or experience with this? I'm scared but am trying to avoid another D&C and the D&C would have to be on Xmas eve no less.

I am so sorry you are going through this again. I had to take the cytotec after my D&C in May because I had a crazy amount of clotting and I guess leftover tissue. It was pretty intense, and that was after a D&C. You are going to pass A LOT and you are going to feel like you are in labor. Make sure you have super long pads, I actually doubled up on the,. they will give you pain meds which will help, so take them. I found it easier to do it overnight so I didn't have to deal with DD. I didn't get much sleep, but before she got up the next morning it was all over.
Good luck and if you have any questions feel free to message me

Re: I'm back. Again.
I'm so so sorry. I have no advice as my loss was ectopic, so I don't have any experience with D&C's, but I know how hard this is (especially around this time of year) and I'm here if you want to vent or cry
I hope 2016 brings us both healthy pregnancies

Re: I'm back. Again.
I'm so sorry for your loss! No experience with cytotec but I just went through a natural mc after a missed mc at 8wks. For me, It was very intense for several hours, just like labor. lots of blood. Once the biggest portion of tissue passes I felt relief from the pain. Bleeding then turned into similar to period and I was very sore. Don't be surprised if you continue to pass some tissue sporadically and bleeding lasts over a week. It really stinks by the holidays, I know Just allow yourself time to feel all you need. I'm so sorry again.

Re: I'm back. Again.
Thanks so much girls.
I actually passed the baby and sac this morning on the sonogram table at the radiologists office. My doctor sent me for a second sono confirming the baby had no heartbeat. I had sharp cramps in the waiting room. At first, the tech said the sac was right over my cervix, then it was gone. I had a huge gush of blood and really big clots. Lots of sharp cramps. It passed right then and there. I feel sore now, and still bleeding and cramping a lot.
What a shock that was. I can't believe it. I have another sono on Wednesday to confirm everything passed. This sucks but I'm glad it passed naturally.
Thanks so much for the support.
