I'm back!!!! was one of ones stranded by Jet Blue..
talk about a gift in disguise.:) I was stuck in PR due to Jet BLue canceling my flight Sunday. tried every which way to get on a flight home- nothing until yesterday. I had to let it go and enjoy another week in PR. :)
thank god my principal was awesome about it. I wasn't happy burning through 5 sick days but it was what it was.
Im glad to be back since I should be starting a brand-new IVF cycle next week sometime when I get my period. brand new dr , medicine protocol and whole new outlook for 2014. Im nervous to start new bc Im not familiar with this practice but Im excited- the break from last two failed IVF's was good.
My bff text me on NYE to let me know SHE is pregnant. I literally am surrounded!!! Im hoping some of that baby dust rubs off on me. :)
How's everyone else doing??

Annoying that you had to use your days at work but fun that you got some extra vacation time. Maybe thats just what you needed. I hope your new RE/practice does the trick for you. What will you be doing differently?
I'm okay. Got my records from my RE and also spoke with him yesterday. He has a new plan for me but I'm not sure what I'm going to do. I'm taking a break and seeking out 2nd opinions.
Let's hope 2014 is our year!

Welcome back! Did Jet blue do anything for you? We got stranded in aruba during Irene. You wouldn't believe what we had to do to get home!!!

they gave me some true blue points back but I'm looking for a flight credit. sent them an email but will call them after the weekend. want to settle back in first. I tried every airline, airport in PR and no one had anything not even to DC or Boston or surrounding cities. So i got on a fri flight which was yesterday. it was crazy but think it was a gift. :) how did you get home?

def needed it although first two days I was stressed bc of missing work.
I am starting this protocol with micronized lupron- never did that before. i go in on day 2 for soon and bloodwork and they call me and set me up to start day 3.
I am also doing am and pm injections of follistim and menopur. he also has me and my SO on an antibiotic, adding baby aspirin in there. theres a few other things i can't think of off top ofmy head that are different. also they do 5 day transfers where I only had 3 day transfers.
i think seeking a second opinion is a great thing. I was so hesitant to, but after my second failed ivf and Trivax kept saying the good thing is you have insurance- that started to annoy me- my gut told me to look elsewhere. and I'm glad I did. Good luck and if you need any info, fm me!

I totally understand about being stressed out missing work. With teaching its hard to just be absent. I would be worried about getting a sub and sending plans. PLus I'm sure its annoying you had to take those days bc you prob used a lot for IF things. I was so nervous NYC schools weren't gonna close on that Friday and I would have to take the day and waste a future IF app day.
Seems like you have a good new plan! I hope the change is what you need. Are you taking baby aspirin the whole cycle or just after transfer? Interesting you will be on micronized lupron bc I spoke with my RE yesterday and he said his new plan would be to do a Lupron Flare protocol. Not really sure what that is but he was explaining away. My transfers have always been 5dt so now he rec doing a 3dt. It was interesting to hear his new plan but I will still get 2nd opinions and most likely change. I really like him so much but it hasn't worked yet. He said I have a good prognosis but I'm not so sure. I only have one last chance with a partially covered IVF so I need to get this right! I'm glad you are happy with your change!
Hoping we are both preg in 2014 and this nightmare is over!

Good Luck! I think you are in good hands at RMA (of course, I am biased). A second opinion was the best decision we ever made. New doctor, new protocol, new lab - I think there is a definite benefit to it.

They were keeping us there an extra two and a half weeks, it was insane. A few days ok but weeks? And aruba ain't cheap!!! After five extra days we flew into columbia, then into panama, into atlanta and then drove home from there. Some vacation. 
We got nothing in return for this horrible experience!!! I've learned my lesson and i never ever leave the country without insurance since!!!

Oh my gosh!! Welcome back!! My hubby and I are going to PR during feb break- staying in isla verde. How was your trip? Where did you stay?

The lab is a big part oft he decision to. I really feel good about RMA.. :)

I'm back!!!! was one of ones stranded by Jet Blue..
You should def look for a flight credit. We got stranded in Florida the day after NYE. They cancelled our flight twice and wanted to fly us out 4 days later. I was freaking out bc I just started an IVF cycle and they needed me in the office for bw and u/s in 2 days. DH and I decided to cancel our flight and drive to NY. They refunded us our cancelled flight plus our flight going to FL. We also got the TrueBlue points.
