I'm Bitter
About the $$$$.
I know many of you have spent much more then I have or will...how do you not get bitter ?
Im actually pisssed off that people get pregnant FOR FREE ....
Im crazy I know, it is lately ( as I am about to part with the $$$) really making me mad that I HAVE TO.
Not mad that I have to go for sonos, bloodtests, appointments, have things stuck up my va jay jay..Im mad i HAVE TO PAY FOR IT.
Am I crazy? ( crazier...whatever  )

But do you girls Aside from worrying about money problems, figuring out how to pay for it etc..honestly feel bitter like I do...like upset over the freaking irony of the financial aspect of all this? Or isthis the normal course of emotions and its just me getting my feet wet in the "scheme of things" that come along with IF?

I am just a lurker so I cant even begin to imagine how hard this must be for all of you.. i can completly imagine being bitter over paying for something that some pple just "poof" they r preggo and didnt even try, please know that when it does happen for you (and it will!) it will be even THAT MORE special b/c of all the trying, love, effort, energy, strength (and the money) it took to have that baby--and ur child will kno just how much it was truly wanted and loved..just my 2 cents

LOL....I'm bitter not only about the money, but about the time it took me to get pregnant! I mean 5 years is a long time!
I am most bitter when my high school students become pregnant, b/c they didn't know you could get pregnant on the beach, in the shower, pulling out, etc.....That makes me SUPER bitter!

Yes, I am bitter...b/c there is ABSOLUTELY NO CHANCE for me to get pg naturally.
People tell me stories all the time of people trying for years, they went through x amount of IVF's, finally gave up, and then they got pg naturally. I hate that

YES...Thats the worst. Yesterday I was telling my BF how if it fails I will be so upset about the money and she said the money? That is upsetting to you and I said yes...because as DEVASTATED as I would be.,lets say IVF was Free....I truly think I would be able to handle the BFN better knowing I could "try again" as soon as I wanted to...Like when your trying natural...
Knowing that money is an obstacle to getting Pregnant is the MOST BITTER PILL

I wish it was kind of like the way with it is with lawyers- they only get paid if they WIN your case.
IVF doctors should only get paid if you get a BFP!
I'm sorry Donna- I am praying that, although you have to pay, it works!!

you are absolutely right Donna. It is unfair. It is normal to feel that way. It is not easy when your friends get pregnant on the first try and you are on years of trying. It hurts so much when I hear another one of my friends got pregnant on the first try when I am going to the doctor every morning to see if I even work. My mother-in-law works in labor and delivery and told me she doesn't understand how crack addicts have babies and my husband and I can't produce at least one. Yeah, she really said that.

I totally understand how you feel. And we haven't been able to do anything about it because we just didn't have the $$$$ - so even though I am 40 we still had to put things on hold due to money.

I am bitter too! I hate that we have to go thru all of this to have a baby when you hear on TV people abusing their children, killing them, young girls still in school getting pregnant, etc etc etc.
It SUCKS! There is no better way to say it. I just don't understand!
I am fortunate - I changed jobs to get the IVF coverage but I don't think its fair I'm at a JOB I HATE and have to stay until I get pregnant because I need the coverage for the IVF.
