I'm confused as to what the Expression actually does
I know this is a stupid question but i've never actually seen one in action and I don't know anyone who has any Cricut products.
If it doesn't print how do you do anything?
I just got the Imagine and it prints and cuts. I just can't figure out how I would use it if it only cut. Do you have to print and design everything on your computer and print it? I'm considering exchanging the Imagine for the Expression but am so confused on how it works.

All the Cricuts work on the cartridges that have designs on them. You put the cartridge in the machine, pick a design and then hit cut (this is a really simple explanation) and the machine CUTS out the design, on the paper of your choice.
Do a search on YouTube for Cricut and there are literally tons of videos that show you what can be done with the Cricut. its a GREAT machine and has loads of things you can do with it.

I've been playing with my Expression, and with the ink set I've been able to print the outline of an image, then change to the cutting blade (without unloading the mat) and cut the shadow version of the image around the drawing. I've gotten really great results like that.
