I'm feeling dizzy.... I'm feeling better!

Every now and then, I get a wave of dizziness where everything seems to go slanty for a few seconds and then it passes. This just started happening about 2 hours ago or so...

I'm almost 39 weeks - should I call my doc?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
So I laid down for a while, had a bottle of water, an apple and some Nilla wafers. I feel so much better. I actually showered and stuff too.
I think it might have been from the caffeine in the coffee I had this morning - it was the first time I had a caffeinated beverage in almost 40 weeks.
If it happens again, the doc will be called.
I think changes in vision could be due to blood pressure and preeclamsia (sp?). I would definitely call your OB. Hope everything is ok! Chat Icon Chat Icon
Re: I'm feeling dizzy....
Yeah, I would. It could be something as simple as eating a piece of fruit to get your blood sugar up. But def call to make sure.
It's not quite my vision - almost like that point where you're really drunk and have the spins while you're standing up...
I'm going to lay down for a bit and see if it passes... Chat Icon
Re: I'm feeling dizzy....
I would call but have a glass of water and a piece of fruit and lay down. I have been getting dizzy spells as well. It would be anxiousness and nerves being you are due next week.
Re: I'm feeling dizzy....
I think yes- it could def. be blood pressure related and since you have had swelling issues and stuff I bet your doc would want to know.Chat Icon
Unless you haven't eaten yet- than I'd probably have breakfast and see if it passes.
Re: I'm feeling dizzy....
If it persists I would call the doctor. I had some experiance with this yesterday.
I was at the post office mailing out my ty's and all of a sudden I broke out in a sweat and felt like I could faint and was shakey. I ran out of there, drove through the dairy barn and bought a big thing of water and chocolate donoughts bc I knew I had to shove somethign in my mouth! So make sure you stay hydrated and eat lots of small snacks. Since then I feel better, but If I were you I would def call if this continues
And drink a lot of fluids and take it easy - see if it passes.
Re: I'm feeling dizzy....
V-stop and call the Doc right now! It could be nothing, but dizziness with changes in vision could be early signs of preeclampsia! Let me know how you are doing! Chat Icon
I agree - knowing your swelling issues - I'd call.
Chat Icon...I saw on FB that you did have a yummy breakfast though, so I know it's not that.Chat Icon
Re: I'm feeling dizzy....
ive had bouts of dizziness for the past few weeks - so bad a couple of weeks ago that I had to grab onto my sister so I wouldnt fall while we were walking in the mall.
the Highrisk OB suggested a trip to the opthamalogist, while my regular OB kinda shrugged it off Chat Icon
i guess theyd be more worried if my BP wasnt ALWAYS 110/70 Chat Icon
only 10 more dayss!!!! Chat Icon
