I'm freaking out! Please send some good thoughts this way!
DH's boss just sprung it on him that his review is in 5 minutes. He thought it was the regular doctor's meeting that they have every Friday. He was not really prepared for it to be today. He was meeting with another doctor TONIGHT to talk about opening up a practice with him this year.......
He's going to tell her that he's LEAVING.
I am about to vomit.
Okay, carry on.
But please send some good thoughts this way. I am scared to death even though this is what I want as well.

I am freaking out because he is telling her that he is leaving without really have a full PLAN of what he's going to do now....I hate when things are uncertain, but it was time to make the jump.

update:
that was the longest hour of my life.
Basically, they were SHOCKED.
They (meaning his boss and her husband) thought that he would take over the practice someday, but that's not what he wants...
To make a verrry long story short, DH agreed to work there for one more year, find someone to replace him and train them.
If he stays for a year, they will let him open up a practice anywhere...the non-compete clause (that says he cannot practice within 30 miles of there) will be destroyed. And you better believe we will be taking this contract to a lawyer to make sure they follow through.
They haven't discussed his salary for this year or anything like that yet.
I am happy! That means that I don't have to go back to work this coming September and I can have one more year with my girls! And that means that we don't have to move or anything! Phew!
