I'm freaking out...updated
I posted a few days earlier about my thyroid levels. They are SOOOO far out of the normal range, I am so scared that something is seriously wrong, like I may have a tumor on my pituitary gland. I go see the endocronologist on Thursday. I'm just scared and I can't sleep.
Okay, so I saw the endo today. He really did ease my mind. I have a hypothyroid. He said it's a good thing that I'm not pregnant yet. I have to go on medicine to regulate my thyroid. It's not working at ALL. Your thyroid controls everything. My heart rate is even low because of it! It can even cause anxiety and depression! My gyno said the other day that this could be the underlying cause of everything! I might not really have PCOS. The endo wants me to be careful not to get pregnant until they find the right doseage for me. So that's that. Thanks for the support and those of you who FM'd me. So sweet girls! Baby dust to all... Oh I'll still be lurking on here. I'll probobly post occasionally. But for now, we're on hiatus.

Re: I'm freaking out
I'm sorry, try to relax and not think go crazy thinking about it.
There are so many things the doctors can do to 'fix' things like this.
Good luck with everything!!
ETA: My Mom's levels are WAY off the chart abnormal, but all she needed was meds to help regulate things - no tumor, no cancer, just out of wack levels.
This type of thing is also genetic...does it run in your family? I know it runs in mine and I get checked for it every year bceause it can "come out" at any time.

Re: I'm freaking out
Are you over or underweight? I ask bc you may have hyper or hypothyroidism, which really isn't all that serious. You may just need to take some meds to regulate your levels. Good luck!

Re: I'm freaking out...updated
That's exactly what my Mom had - an underactive thyroid! Yes it can cause sooo many different problems...weight gain, depression, tiredness, the list goes on and on.
Im glad you got answers and I hope they find the right meds for you soon! Dont forget....if the meds arent working and you dont feel "right" or better when taking them make sure you verbalize this to yuor doctor. It took my Mom 4 different meds before she found one that made her feel better and got her levels back to normal.
