Im getting really upset with my OB's office (long, sorry)
I am beginning to feel pushed around and mis-informed. I was told a month ago that my 35 week appointment will be with Dr.Benoit, who is delivering the baby to discuss birth plan and such. I haven't seen him since 12 weeks!! That is a whole separate can of worms that I am upset about. I have been seeing his nurse practitioner/midwife from 12 weeks on. I haven't set eyes on Dr. Benoit since then and he is doing my c-section in 4 weeks!! I don't even get my 35 week appointment now, i haven't been seen since 33 weeks.
I called just to make my 35 week appointment is with him and sure enough they scheduled me with the midwife, i told them i was upset i wasn't seeing Benoit since he is delivering me in 4 weeks and i have questions about the c-section that i would prefer not to wait until 37 weeks to talk about with him (2 weeks before section). So they rescheduled me, for next Thursday, i will be 36 weeks. This is the 3rd time i have been rescheduled!! Now Maternal Fetal Medicine, who does my Level 2's called and has called to reschedule me because their tech (one of 2) is off that day on vacation. I have had that appointment set for 6 weeks and it's the only day DH can get off to take me. This is our last Level 2 before baby girl comes too!!
I feel so pushed around and im just feeling upset about it, maybe it's just the hormones!! Sorry so long, just had to vent!!

You should be upset! That is ridiculous - you haven't seen an actual OB since 12 wks? Unless this has been your choice (which it doesn't seem like it) - I would be livid! At this point you are obviously stuck with this practice but I would keep on annoying them until you get what you want! Good luck!

yeah, this is totally NG.
I am sorry they are putting you through so much stress. I guess they just feel things are so routine...they forget that while they do 100 per month, this is one of just a few times (IF that many) a pregnant woman goes through this in her LIFE!!!
I hope things get settled and you get the answers you want.

Re: Im getting really upset with my OB's office (long, sorry)
My office has been the same...I think it may kind of be the standard unless there are issues. I go for my growth sono next week at 31 weeks and have an appt. with the dr. afterwards, not the midwife as I usually see.
Midwives deliver as well so there is a possiblity the dr. may not be delivering you, but whoever is on call. At least that is how it works in my office I think.
