I'm giving in!

None of my pants fit me anymore so I am giving in and just buying maternity pants! Today I am wearing my PMS (you all know the ones I am talking about. They are not the most flattering but when you have PMS, who cares how they look, as long as they are comfy!!) pants and even they are too tight in the tummy area! I am only 7 1/2 weeks!! I am going to Old Navy to get the "real waist" pants since they look the least "maternity". Since I haven't told work yet, I don't want anything that will scream out "SHE'S HAVING A BABY"!
I am OK on the weekends, it is really just work that is the problem.
Any other advice?

Re: I'm giving in!

Skirts are great at hiding preggo bellies, and they are even more comfy if they are the flowy urban tyle because they are not clingy on the middle like a "traditional" skirt... Target had a great clearance where I found kinda combination yoga-cofy but looks like black dress pants that are maternity, but dont SHOUT it.. and accomadate the growing belly..

You may also want to get a few pair of pants in the next size or two up depending on your build.. and if you can find a good deal! Good Luck

Thanks Chat Icon
unfortunately my problem is that I work on Wall Street! I need "business" or at the very least, "business casual" type of clothing and all the "comfy" stuff is a little too casual.
I thought about going up in size but it is really only my belly that is growing (right now anyway!!). At least that is what DH (and that means darling hubby) keeps telling me! He even insists that it is all in my head and I look exactly like I always did Chat Icon Chat Icon Yeah right, EVERYTHING I own shrank in the dryer?
Well anyway, if I go up in size I think the rest will look silly.

I know how you feel, I am 7 weeks and all my clothes are too tight! I thought I was too early for this! It is nice to know I am not alone.
I also need to start buying some bigger stuff!

Re: I'm giving in!

i also am slowly but quickly growing out of my clothes and i agree skirts fit better than pants. I also feel in love with my gaucho pants from NY and Co. They are so comfy right now and plenty of room to grow.
