A small breed "Jack Russell, Doxie, Corgi etc".
This one happens to be a Chihuahua.

There is a JR on my site, that has met with recent tragedy, however she is located in Pennsylvania-
Kent Shelter also had baby JR's for adoption, I am unsure if they are still available-
also, if you are interested in perhaps a yorkshire terrier, there is a group with a Long Island chapter at www.saveayorkierescue.org
Good luck- I am sure you won't have a problem finding a pup!

Go to Animal Care and Control of NYC, 2336 Linden Blvd. in Brooklyn, about 5 minutes from Cross Bay Blvd. Hundreds of breeds for adoptions, from purebred small to very large. They also have a shelter at 110 Street in Manhattan. Very high kill shelters.

I never even thought about Craigslist....
I know I saw Chihuahuas listed on there. A lot of dogs, even some pups were on there. Check it out and let me know if you find any. Good luck!
