I'm going on strike today...
I've had it, I've had it, I've had it!!!!!!!
As much as I love my children more than life itself, I have raised a bunch of needy, spoiled slobs.
The playroom is a mess.
Their rooms are mess and I just had them spotless 2 days ago.
They just came in -- shoes and jackets everywhere.
Pajamas on the bathroom floor.
Everything I tell them to do comes with a battle. I made them haircut appointments this afternoon because they haven't had one since THANKSGIVING!!! "I'm not going...I don't want one!!" We need to go get new shoes today. "I'm not going, I don't want to."
We'll, they're all hungry for lunch right now, but guess what? I don't feel like making it. I don't feel like having friends over today. I don't feel like driving them to their friend's houses today. I don't feel like looking for DS's, chargers -- I didn't play with them.
I'm putting on my iPod with the headphones in my ears and tuning out.
Thanks for the vent...

I think its a great strategy, and it has the added bonus of giving you some time to relax. They want your help? Then they need to give you theirs!
