I'm going to pull my hair out!!!!!

I cant take it anymore!!! I feel that I have to justify every single parenting decision I make to a certain someone! I get dissapproving looks all the time. Ifeel like I'm being graded! You raised your kids your way and I'll raise my kid MY WAY!!

Everything I do isnt "the" way. My house is always clean, but with a 2 year old running around I may have some toys out. I have to feel my house is a mess when this person comes. Hey my floors are always swept and mopped, my rugs are vaccumed and my dirty dishes are in the dishwasher, yea maybe I have some fingerprints on my coffee table. I feel like I'm getting the white glove test. What I feed him, how I dress him, what I let him do, I KNOW MY SON I KNOW WHAT HE CAN AND CANT DO! I even have to feel guilty that I have a strong close relationship with my own mother!

Nothing I do is right, sorry my child prefers his MOMMY over anyone else, or he prefers to run and play than to sit and cuddle when there are toys to be played with.

Its taking its toll on my marriage as well.

I'm so sorry you are going through this. I feel your pain. I'm have been going through the exact same thing with a special certain someone of my own. It's very hard to contain yourself when you have to listen to stupid comments and deal with dirty looks.
And when our DHs don't see our points of view it makes it much worse.
It's a crappy situation to be in.
Hope it gets better for you. Try to avoid her as much as you can. That's waht I do

I have a person in my life like this also-
I used to get sooooo mad and take it out on my DH, but then I decided to stop making myself so crazy-because by me having these hateful feelings,and then DH& I arguing...then THEY WIN!

Now I have decided not even to give them the power to make me mad.
It takes practice,but Im actively working on keeping this person "insignificant" in my life!
Dont make them get the best of you-and avoid them as much as possible!

I usually have *gasp* dirty dishes in the sink until the kids go to bed and I don't have everything perfectly dusted, vacuumed or mopped every day.

But my kids are usually laughing and have been pretty healthy compared to other people I know.

I feel your pain, DH and I have been having some similar problems lately.

Im so sorry. Im in the SAME BOAT with my MIL. There is ALWAYS a comment on how I do things.
These are MY KIDS>>>NOT YOURS!!!!
I have just learned to ignore her now...but it is so hard.

HUgs to you-I know how frustrating MIL's can be-I always felt like I was being compared to my SIL and had to do everything like she did, use the same formula, bottles, etc...
