I'm having Surgery
I went to a new doctor and I really feel like I am getting somewhere, finally! He confrimed that I have two different types of blood disorders and diagnosed me with Endometriosis. I am going to have surgery on July 5th to take care of bleeding and scar tissue in the womb. I have never had surgery before so I'm a little scared. Anyone else need surgery for Endometriosis before?

Re: I'm having Surgery
Not me personally, but my mom did around this time last year. She was expieriencing painful periods that would last weeks. After her surgery she was much better and the recovery was not bad at all. I hope you have a good expereince as well! My neighbor and BF had it done and both are doing great! Endometriosis is not the worst thing in the world- and so many people are able to conceive afterwards! BF just had her first son in April- 11lb 13oz!

Re: I'm having Surgery
An old friend of mine had terrible problems with endometriosis and had 2 surgeries. She became PG with both daughters after each surgery.

Re: I'm having Surgery
I'm having the same surgery on July 11th. My preop testing is in the 5th. I also have never had surgery before. I'm sure we will be just fine. We can compare notes! Who is doing your surgery, and where are you having it done?

GOOD LUCK!! Its gonna be ok. I know friends who have had the surgery. It usually gives you in creased chance at conceiving afterwards.

Re: I'm having Surgery
My friend had it done and she had no major problems and conceived right away the following year when she began trying. It will definitely improve your chance of conception. Good luck to you!!!!

Re: I'm having Surgery
I had surgery for Severe Endo, Stage IV on Dec. 2, last year. It's not as bad as you think. Of course you're nervous, but even the recovery isn't too bad. I had 4 incisions and they removed 4 large cysts measuring over 10 cm off of my right ovary. For me, the worst part of it was that I didn't know what was going to happen while they're inside. I was told that they might have to remove my ovary and tubes. Also, since I had large cysts they weren't sure if they would need to do a Laparotomy instead of a Laparoscopy until they were inside. So that was scary. Luckily, my tubes were perfect, as well as my left ovary, and they were able to remove just the cysts on the right one. But I did have Endo all over everything else though.
Good luck to you, and it's really not that bad.
