I'm heading out now!!!! Wish me luck!
I had an emergency root canal Wednesday night. Just a few hours ago the pain became UNREAL in another tooth. I thought maybe the pain was just spreading. But I gently began touching teeth and one nearly shot me through the roof. I guess the infection has spread. Now, I just need to wait until the dentist opens. I'm open for any discussion to keep me mind off of this.

Lamaze breathing?...LOL
Im only partly kidding actually. My usual joke is that I never used it for labor but it came in handy after words...Just focus on something, other than the pain, and take some deep breaths and let it out slowly...it has helped me..
Theres also Tylenol too..

The Tylenol isn't working. Yesterday I took 3 (total all day) for my already worked on tooth. I think this new pain is about to shoot the tooth right out of my mouth. It feels like it has so much pressure building.
I'm just laughing at the prospect of me doing lamaze breathing, then DH waking up and hearing me. He'd probably panic, grab the hospital bag, run out the door and head to the hospital without me.

As dumb as this sounds, can you get Ambesol or something? I was having a really bad tooth problem and it numbed it up pretty good.

OOH!!! Good one! I have no plans at all this weekend, but DH switched his shift on Sunday because he has Rangers tickets. Do I get to go? NO!!!!! But I always bug him about going on 'dates' with his best friend. It gets under his skin. 
We did register, but I keep adding and subtracting things as I get advice from new moms. I am so clueless! Anybody have a baby I can change a diaper on? I am determined to do this before I give birth!

Yep, tried it. Thanks though. I have a feeling that I have a major infection raging in this tooth too. It feels like it wants to explode.
I totally forgot most of you are getting ready for work.  When can I have a 9-5 job?

OMG, I'm so sorry. Tooth pain is terrible. I would definitely try the Anbesol or Orajel. I hope you feel better

Kelly so sorry to hear...feel better...your dentist should be open soon.
Re: diaper...they actually let us practice (on a doll) at one of our classes at the hosptal & had us practice swaddling it also.Somehow its not the same as doing it w/ a squirming/crying baby though.
Also re: registry, there are a few posts on parenting re: must have items...do a search.

oh boy, i hope the dentist can see you first thing, because tooth pain is the worst and it's not like you can take any real painkillers.

I'm about to leave for the dentist. Wish me luck that she can get to me soon!!!!! Thank you for keeping me going! I am nervous because I feel my blood pressure rising and I'm trying to remain calm because of the baby.
