I'm home and I'm a mommy to a beautiful baby girl who finally has a name!!!! Lots of pics
After weeks of whining that I was gong to go late baby Emily Kate decided to come 11 days early. I had a very rough delivery. My water broke Monday morning while I was in bed. I went to the dr who sent me right over to L&D at St. Charles because I had a positive strept b, and the baby had meconium in utero. I labored for 22 hrs, having contractions less than every 2 minutes but I never dilated passed 4cm. I have to say that the L&D nurses at St Charles are truly angels on earth. Without my midwife, dr, and those nurses I have no idea how I would have made it though. I went in thinking I could do a natural childbirth but I just couldn't..I wanted every drug under the sun. Finally after 22 hrs of labor I had a c-section. Once they pulled my little girl out none of it mattered. I was overwhelmed with emotions of love. My DH and I are so in love with her. For months I had trouble coming up with a name and didn't choose her name until I was being cut open.
Here she is my beautiful angel Emily Kate
7lbs 19 1/2 inches born 8/17
