I'm kind of on the fence

So it turns out that my sister, who is a single mom to my 8 year old niece, is pregnant. In one sense, every baby is a blessing. But on the other hand, she is not "with" the father, they just had a booty call thing going on. We're fortunate enough that my parents pretty much support her as it is (financially and otherwise.) And the most important bad factor is my sister has serious health issues. She has something called an AVM in her brain, which basically means she can, and has, had brain hemorages. She goes to the Dr. on Friday, but after being sent to a neurologist, she may be told she can't have this baby.
The whole thing is just such a mess. My sister was outrageoulsy irresponsible to even get pregnant. But at the same time, she's cautiously happy. She has always wanted another baby, but these are far less than perfect circumstances.

(i'm not sure which happy face this situation calls for - it sounds like it's a mixed blessing) I hope she gets good news and everything is ok. I'm sure it's tough for you to be supportive, but it sounds like you're being a great sister. She's lucky to have you care so much.

I can understand your mixed feelings. However, I am a firm believer that things happen for a reason. And, whatever is meant to be will be. I'll be that everything is OK with her.

such a hard position for your family and you, but most of all for your sister!! Wanting a baby is such a STRONG feeling.. to be told you can't because of a health condition omg i can't even imagine!! i hope it all works out!
