Im nervous about tonight..

I am a little bit nervous about tonight.

Me, my mom and my sister are going to see Annie in the city. I am leaving Megan at home with daddy for at least 4 hours and its for the first time. He is great with her but hasnt been with her alone for that amount of time since shes been born. I went shopping once when she was a couple of weeks but she didnt do or move much then so it was much easier.

I keep telling him that he has to keep an eye on her at all times, that she tries to roll over constantly, that she doenst like to be just left in her bouncy chair for hours, that he has to interact with her. He is getting mad at me becasue I keep telling him what to do. But I am mommy..I cant help it! LOL

Please tell me to relax or else I am never going to be able to enjoy tonight!

ETA..I have a little night owl baby, so putting her to sleep is out of the question, it will be too early for her if anyone was thinking that. LOL

She'll be fine. I found after leaving Jack with DH for 3 hours for the 1st time......DH was sooooo much more appreciative of me and what I do with our son. The 2nd time I left him for 3 hours again, I came home to & and "I don't know how you do this all day"

Go and have a great time!! She will be fine.

You should feel more safe with your DH watching her then anyone else.

She will be fine! My DH watches my son a few days a week while I am at work. Before I started work, I was telling him what to do, and of course he was getting annoyed, too. It ended up being fine, he takes good care of him. She'll be fine with her daddy!! Go enjoy yourself.

Noreen, they'll be fine! You deserve a night out! Just like you are learning as you go, he has to learn as he goes, as well. He'll learn very quickly not to just let her sit in her bouncy chair because I'm sure she'll let him know if she's bored! I had a hard time leaving JT and Ava home alone, but now look at him! He watches her all day, everyday. He'll get the hang of it and the more you allow him to take care of her, the more time you can steal for yourself!

She will be fine. He may not do everything exactly the way you would but that doesn't mean that DD will not be in good hands.

Relax, leaving DH alone w/ DD will have to happen sooner or later. And if all else fails and you can't bear to leave DH alone w/ DD you can always give me your ticket to Annie!
