I'm nervous to try DS on cereal....
he is STILL on the gassy side and DD got very gassy on rice, so we went straight to oatmeal cereal.
I'm SO nervous to give him rice for fear of causing him MORE discomfort.

Maybe don't start with rice, go right to Oatmeal?

That is what we are doing, the ped said that rice could bind DS so we are not even going to try it.
I don't want DS to get constipated like he did when he was a new born.

I'm not giving DD any of it because of her gas issues. I've heard from ladies on LIF too much about how bad the gas gets with the rice

I never used rice either..gianna went straight to oatmeal and then went to reg jarred foods. She HATED cereal!

WOW..thank you all for your input! Maybe we will try oatmeal first. He'll be 4 months old this weekend and DH is home for a few days and I did not want DH to miss out on the "First Cereal"

Yeah we actually videotaped Ds first "eating" expereicnce. Some of the faces he made when he tasted the cereal for the first time, were priceless.
