I'm overweight and was asked if I was pregnant.
I was just at my dentist office and the dental assistant who saw me only once before about 8 months ago said to me "are you having a baby?". I said "No, I'm just fat, but I wish that I was." Even at my smallest, I was always bottom heavy, but I've never had extra weight in my stomach, which I do now, so I do look a few months pregnant. When I was asked this in the past if I was pregnant, it made me aggravated, now it made me sad. People should really think before they speak.

BTDT... I had a baliff in traffic courth suggest that my DH take me to the front of the line becasue I was pg! Then the next week one of my students rubbed my belly and told me she was happy for me. Two other people said it to me. I quickly went on WW and dropped 16 pounds and 2 or 3 sizes!!!

The same has happened to me a few times. It's not a good feeling but also gives a little wake up call to shed some pounds.

This happened to me in a bar in DC. I was with my DH and the woman served me my Baileys on teh rocks and said Oh baby likes that huh?

This just happened to me yesterday and I don't even have the extra weight- just a belly leftover from my DD.
I told the man who asked me, that he should NEVER ask that question It did make me especially sad since we have been trying for a while

I feel your "pain" anger!!!!
I ran into someone I worked with who I hadn't seen in 2 years, the first thing she said was, "HI..your pregnant?"
I said, "no", so she said "oh...sorry you look so different"
Even when I was skinny, I never just "assumed" anything about anyone.

I've always been a bit overweight but lately have been gaining weight because of a knee and ankle injury...I cannot tell you how many people have congratulated me, kept looking at my belly, and just insinuated things....it's annoying...If someone says something I usually say "No, I'm just fat" and they feel like poo!

Unfortunately, I've been there too. People just let the stupidest things come out of their mouths sometimes.
And now that people suspect that we're TTC, I find them staring at my belly, just dying to ask!!

This is a big fear of mine. I don't carry my weight in my stomach as of now but after birth I'm worried about permanently looking pregnant! 
For the OP try not to let it get to you. Some people are just really inconsiderate and have nothing better to talk about so stupid things come out of their mouths
