I'd rather be at work sometimes.

You know its funny...My wife Danielle felt the same way as you did, but on the other hand I loved going to open houses. Maybe I am just crazy lol...
It is a stressful time, but you will find the house you love and then the real stress begins lol

i used to feel the same way. and yes, that is so not stress, compared to actually getting into contract and actually buying the house. so enjoy this time

After a while I started to hate it also. We bought our house 2 years ago and once in a while I still go to open houses because now its fun and not stressful. Also gives me a chance to see what other houses in the area are going for.
Hang in there. Maybe give yourself a limit as to how many open houses you will go to. Maybe pick one day out the weekend instead of both

Since we are now doing work on our house, I go to open houses to get ideas....
Yes you have not reached the stressful part yet. Just wait till you have to put the big deposit check down....and you have to start paying real bills ugh. It is 100% worth it and everything always works itself out. It is stressful but a good stress, because you own the house....

I was the same way...it was fun for the first few weekends....then it just felt like a job! Now that DH and I found a house and are moved in...it didn't get any better...since we are expecting, our weekends are filled trying to get things done on the house before our LO arrives!
