I'm so confused
Well my DH and I started trying this month and I have been charting and using the OPK since my last period which was on Sept 26th. I have been using the OPK and haven't received a serge line yet. Well this morning I wake up and I have my period!! I had no signs and I don't know my exact cycle lenght, but I do know that it's usually about a month give or take. Today is only my 16th day since my last period...is that possible?? Here I am thinking that I'm going to O anyday and instead wake up to this. Has this happened to anyone else?
Now that I have my period I'm going to continue to chart but when should I start testing again? I don't want to miss my next O time. HELP!!

Re: I'm so confused
I had that happen to me in August!! My two periods were only 18 days apart. The following month (Sept) was normal exactly 27 days after my second one in August so I would say you should be back on track next month. Sorry your first month is not going so well. The best of luck to you..

Re: I'm so confused
It could be 'mid cycle" bleeding. I doubt it's actual "af". If you want, to send me your chart, I definitely will take a look.

Re: I'm so confused
A GYN once told me sometimes you bleed when you ovulate.
Did you test? Maybe you are ovulating?

Re: I'm so confused
You can 'bleed" mid cycle due to estrogen dominance. You can bleed as a sign of ovulation, however, it's because of the estrogen.

Re: I'm so confused
It could be an anovulatory period. This is when you don't ovulate, but you still get your period. Don't ask me how that works, but my doctor told me it happens.

Re: I'm so confused
Thanks Ladies. I def have my period since it's heavy and this is the second day.
When should I test again for O? I nervous that I'm going to miss it again!! I'm also going to make a doctors appointment once this ends just to make sure everything is ok.

Re: I'm so confused
Just like megan said, last cycle was probably annovulatory if you, definitely have full flow blood 16 days after your last AF. There is hardly any time for the follicules to grow or for the lining to thicken, in a 16 day cycle.
I would start temping asap. Start using the opks , when Af finishes....

Re: I'm so confused
Thanks again. I will send you my chart once I can scan it in. I've only been charting since my last period.
This might be a dumb question, but I can O while I have my period (or whatever this is) can I?
I feel horrible today too. The rainy weather isn't helping.
