i just had a panic attack at work! i have been getting them since friday night but it seems that i only get them at night. of course now this one happened during the day.
I have been suffering from panic attacks for about 8 yrs I know all about them and possible ways to cope I used to get them mostly at work - no one knew except my co worker who also was a sufferer, I too am on medication, Fm if you need to talk...
I always found thinking of what the worst that could happen would be and then facing it helped me.
For instance, if I felt one coming on and my breathing was bad, I would say well worst possible outcome is I pass out and really how horrible and scary is that? Not that bad. I cant possibly die from this and while I was obssesing over the "worst" , I ended up feeling better because I wasnt actually focusing on the symptoms.
Other things I did was CALL SOMEONE right away or email someone right away. The mind just desperatly needs something else to focus on at that moment.
