I'm so excited I hired my Doula!!!
We met last night and I just clicked with her right away!!!
She is so energetic, friendly and just gave a good vibe...
She is actually still in the process of getting her certification but she has done 5 births before me. She is a doula in training. I look forward to being in the delivery room with her and dh.

Doulas are labor coaches.. they don't do anything hands on... Midwives are medical professionals that do the delivery and practice medicine!
to the OP:
CONGRATS... Doulas are a WONDERFUL resource to have when in labor!!

I'm actually having both a midwife and a doula. The midwife since its in a hospital setting may not be able to be with me the whole time. So, the doula will be there to support and coach dh and I the entire time from when I break my water.
