I'm so frustrated with the house hunting process...

I really hate house hunting. We've been looking since August and while that may not seem like a lot of time, we've seen at least 60-75 houses in 5 different towns. We've seen everything on the market in our price range that looked decent. Nothing had really peaked our interest. We even decided to look at houses 5-10% above what we wanted to spend just to see if there was anything of interest out there.

We finally saw a house we really liked this weekend. It had everything we wanted, but it was a little more than what we wanted to spend. We put in a fair offer, especially as a starting point. They came back and said it was priced right and they're only willing to lower the price by $1,000. Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon I guess our search continues. I doubt we'll find a house anytime soon, which really sucks b/c our lease is up in 3.5 months and I don't want to have to renew it.

This is so stressful and frustrating. Chat Icon

wow sounds just like our experience with house hunting, but we finally found a house. Granted we have been remodeling it for 3 months now, but we had to keep looking past other peoples stuff and gross to see the potential in the house. We finally starting saying, "well if this house would only cost us this, then we would have money to remodel and have it our way". The house you are looking for is out there. Try to have faith in that. Maybe take a week or two off from house hunting. That is what we did after looking for like 3 months. It felt good to take a break from it. GL! You will find something you love, make yours and call it home!

May I ask where you are looking? A friend of mine is selling her house.

We felt the exact same way while house hunting. Actually, we had a similar situation with a house we liked but they wouldn't drop the price. Well it turned out a month letter, when they couldn't sell the house, they came back and accepted our offer. Too late though, we found an even better house instead. Everything happens for a reason - it will work out for you! Good luck!
