I'm so proud of my daughter!!!!!!!!!!!!
She is in 5th grade and was elected "Class President" for this quarter!!!
I'm so emotional over it. To make a long story short, we found out she was hearing impaired when she was 4. Her disability made her very intraverted which made it very hard for her to make friends. Just over the past year or so she has really come out of her shell. Her teacher says all the kids love her and that she has loads of friends.
Anyway, I'm just so proud!!!!

Good for her !!!!!!!! I have a 5th grader as well, and I know they are just beginning to navigate the whole "social" thing. Sounds like she is doing beautifully.
