I'm SOOO Excited
I just booked a trip to Alaska to see my daughter in May
I saved a TON with all my AMEX points.
Airfare and a rental car for 8 days cost me $430.
7 months and counting

Yes, she lived in Fairbanks for about 3 yrs and recently moved to North Pole.

I'm hoping it will be. I checked weather.com and the avg temp in May is 63 high and 35 low.
By the time I get there it will be 19 months since I've seen her.

Oooooh have you ever been to North Pole, AK?? I've heard it's absolutely ADORABLE in town. They have lots of Christmas shops and Santa's workshop, etc. year-round.
Parents can write letters to their kids from Santa and send them in self-addressed, stamped envelopes to the North Pole post office. They'll drop it back in the mail so kids can get a letter from Santa post marked from the North Pole!!
You will have such fun! I bet you can't wait!

Believe or not...NOPE doesn't work in a research center. Went out for school and feel in love with it and decided to stay.

Actually, I have been there. When she went out there to go to school (in fairbanks) I went with her. We took a few days to "get to know the area" and went up to North Pole. It's a very cute town. Not much going on but Christmas all year round, with all the Christmas stores. I have some pictures on my computer at home. Maybe I'll add them to my "Alaska" album tonight.
I am VERY excited to go.
