I'm sorry if this has been asked, but did you buy any toys for Easter?
We ALWAYS got presents for Easter as a kid, usually just one or two toys and then a basket filled with things, and the "Easter Bunny" would hide the gifts and the eggs and we'd have to find them.
So it got me thinking, did you get gifts for DC for Easter?
We did, I got her a doctor play set, and a little basketball net that we can put in our new backyard

I never got toys for Easter. I do want to get some small stuff for my son, neice and nephews such as sidewalk chalk, bubbles, etc. I really don't like to give candy and big stuff is not necessary (IMO).

I never got presents of toys for Easter. I got a basket and a corsage from my dad when I was little.
I was just thinking about this when I went into Target yesterday... "when did Easter turn into mini-Christmas with the gift giving?"
I planned on something small for two reasons:
1. can't do candy and I don't plan on doing much candy in the future.
2. Their birthday is right around that time.
I'm filling their basket with plastic eggs filled with Cheerios, a pail and shovel for the beach, and a CD/DVD.

i got dd a bubble maker machine and i'll get some of other little things. I don't think she'll know the difference. my mom still makes us baskets with food, candy and usually an outfit
my dad still hides eggs  and makes us find all 90 of them.

We didn't this year because my parents went a little nuts.
But we will. My parents always did the same as your family
My parents make us find eggs too...for a while my mom made my grandmother and great aunt find the eggs..and my grandmother always got caught stealing eggs from my great aunt's basket

I got a basket of candy as a kid, but I think with DS I am going to do small toys for 2 reasons. first, I would rather give him less candy than my mom did for us. Second, his birthday is at the end of November, so I think I would end up buying a few toys around this time of year anyway as he is growing out of some of his toys.

I did, no candy this year. My kids are a little odd and don't like candy. Meanwhile I'm addicted to chocolate, go figure.
