Im sorry Im sorry BUT another BFING ?
I know Im just a paranoid psycho first time mom... but you girls are so helpful...
First off- Im not getting as much milk as usual...could it be something IM eating...or not eating.??
Also-
WHat foods should I stay away from? Soda, coffee, milk, peanut butter????
My baby has been very gassy (not that hes in pain or anything like that) and I dont mean hes burping alot He also has the hiccups ALL the time
Could it be from my soda obsession...thats the only thing I can think of that I have every day..??
TIA

If it helps - fennel tea (add honey) increases milk production.
I'm sure the soda has something to do with the gas since it's carbonated. To elminate fussiness, I would cut out: caffeine - including chocolate, but not WHITE CHOCOLATE :) soda gassy vegetables

Stress also causes a reduction in milk production. Drink plenty of water!!
I dont avoid anything. I limit soda though.
Hiccups all the time are VERY normal and you are not causing them

You may have to change the suction. Different breasts have different requirements for suction. Also, pretty normal that one would do that during pumping.
Also, to the above questions, I never cut out anything in my diet. Gas can be normal until the digestive system matures.
Oatmeal, lots of water, eating healthy, and relaxing all help increase your supply.

The main food to avoid are the high mercury fish, unless you discover a particular problem. Alcohol and caffeine should be limited.
Basically all babies are gassy in the way you describe. Don't change your diet to try to make him stop farting -- it won't work. Its just what babies do!
You also may not be getting as much milk because your supply is becoming more stable. As long as you are drinking lots of water and baby has enough wet diapers all is well!

Try taking a hot wash cloth and laying it over your heavier, harder breast before pumping. You can also kind of massage it a bit to get the milk flowing. It could just be that it's very engorged and you need to get it "flowing" a bit.
Emily hiccups so much too! I was afraid that I wasn't burping her properly or something but in my WTE The first Year book it says it's totally normal.
Emily also farts a lot! I think it's just a sign that she has a good digestive system! She doesn't seem in pain or uncomfortable by it so I'm not worried!
