Im starting to freak out... please help

Bryan is starting daycare on monday and Im going back to work. I havent been away from him for more that 5 hours since the day he was born and he is 18 months now. I know that it will be good for him but Im get so sad thinking about it even thought the situation is temporary ( only covering a 5 week med leave) I dont know how Im going to make it thru. Will he still know his mommy? I know Im probably being over dramatic but its really starting to get to me. I was fine up until today now Im soooo sad. Someone tell me its not that bad...

I haven't gone back yet BUT I'm sure he'll never forget who mommy is!!!!! Everything's going to be great!! You'll be getting some adult interaction while bringing in some extra $$$ and he'll be learning to interact with other kids which is wonderful for his development. Just wait till you see that face light up when you go to pick him up.....trust me, he knows you're mommy!!!!

I know exactly what you mean. Tristan is 3 and he has always been with DH or me and Monday he starts daycare. I am going back to schooll and he needs to be around kids as well. I am so nervous....he is fine, he thinks he is going to school too...technically he is. You will be fine...just know that these daycare workers are professionals and can handle it. If you are having alot of anxiety just call and see how he is doing. That might help a little.
