I'm tired of being pregnant

So I'm sure this probably sounds horrible, but I'm so over being pregnant. I have had an extremely easy (knock on wood) pregnancy and I still feel pretty good all things considered. But I'm just tired of being pregnant and can't wait to just have my son. I'm tired of carrying around this extra weight and I want to reclaim my body.
Anyone else feel lie this? I mean I'm sure we all can't wait to meet our babies, but for me, all I can think about is not being pregnant anymore. All I do is talk about how I can't wait to push this kid out. Do I sound like a terrible mother? Chat Icon

Re: I'm tired of being pregnant

I am starting to feel the same way (at 35 weeks). My pregnancy has been relatively easy too - so I feel bad complaining.

All I really want is a good night's sleep! It is so hard to rollover - I wake up every time I do - and when I roll on my left side it pushes the baby's head, which then pushes the butt and feet into my ribs Chat Icon

On the other hand - I can't wait for the baby to get here - I still can't believe that I only have a few weeks left!!

I am still loving it at 31 weeks but I really cant stand the head butting and the rolling that happens all day and all night. If it would sit for a while I might be content. I am also getting a little anxious of whats gonna be. I hate pre-baby anxiety. If it were here I would know exactly what to expect and do. I guess theres too much thinking now.

Re: I'm tired of being pregnant

I just started my 32 week today- I'm tired of it too. I'm tired of watching everything I eat and drink- I'm also not sleeping well and I hate carrying the extra weight around. I know that I will still need to watch what I ingest when I breastfeed but at least I'll be able to sleep on my back again!

My mom says I am ridiculous because after he is here I won't be sleeping at all! Chat Icon

I guess, most of all, I want him here to see what he will look like and be reassured that he is healthy- that's my biggest fear- that he will not be healthy. Chat Icon

Re: I'm tired of being pregnant

Actually I think you sound like a great Mom. I understand why you feel selfish for wanting your body back, but it's great that you can't wait to push him out. I, on the other hand, am scared to death and want to stay pregnant forever. Chat Icon We took our childbirth class last weekend and although I do feel better, I am still scared to DEATH of the labor & delivery process. And I am scared that I won't be good at taking care of him/her when we come home. And I feel selfish because I'm so not ready to give up my "me" time. I'm almost hoping I do get more uncomfortable soon so that I am more anxious to have this baby by the time our due date comes.

I'm with you! My body is definately ruined. I have crazy stretch marks. I can't walk up more than one flight of stairs. It's horrible. I wasn't inthe best shape to begin with, but this is really tough.Chat Icon

Re: I'm tired of being pregnant

I am not enjoying being pregnant at all this time around. With Jack it was like "oh, look at my cute belly."..I felt like I was in a special club because random people would smile at you when they see a pregnant lady. Now, I've got a toddler running around all day, I work from home and there is not a minute in the day to sit and enjoy being pregnant or take a nap so I feel a little better. For me, this is the means to an end..the end that I am VERY excited about...to meet my little girl. But as for the pregnancy...I'm so done! Chat Icon
