Images

I dont know how to explain this but my grandma passed away on 11-22-07 and that day I went to the hospital to see her and she was fine having a convo with me and she was fine. When I was leaving they put her in a strecher to take a sono of her legs for blood clots. I cant seem to get the images of me leaving the floor of the hospital out of my head. I think about it almost every night. I remember looking back at her and her sitting there on the strecher so calm not scared at all and she said I will see you later and I didnt get to see her again.



I also havent wanted to look at pictures of her yet. I dont know why I just feel not ready.

I miss her terribly.

I just needed to let it out.
This ever happen to anyone else?

I often think of the last time I saw my grandfather. He seemed fine and then he was gone, just a short time later. I even left the nursing home early because he was grumpy and I didn't want to hang around. I will always regret that. For a long time after he passed, whenever I saw a picture of him I would break down, but although the pain is always there, it does get easier.

Yes. My best friend died in a fight--he got sucker punch fell back and hit his head. He was declared braindead. So the last time I saw him was in the hospital-hooked up to life support-tubes, lines, machines..everything. So any movie that comes on where someone is in the hospital or if I have to visit someone in the hospital- I relive that moment I saw him. The moment I had to say goodbye.

I keep telling myself it will get better. It's been almost 4 years. But that is a moment I'll remember for the rest of my life no matter how "ok" I am.

It is hard not to remember those last moments. As much as I try not to, I will never forget the last couple of days and weeks of watching my grandmother suffer from lung and liver cancer. When I think of those images I just try to replace them with a happier, better one.
