I'mm off to my first internal UPDATED: A little bummed
We're getting close
Update: Well all is well with baby which is GREAT...but I was told because of the shape of my pelvic bone (one side is almost straight instead of angled or something) there is a very good chance I will need to have a C-Section and I am just so bummed. I just wanted the whole experience of L&D, I don't want to have "surgery", I want to hold and BF right away, and I wanted my mom there sooooo bad. And, DH is just not understanding why I am bummed. The doctor said to see the other dr in the practice next week and see what he says.

Re: I'mm off to my first internal UPDATED: A little bummed
I know its not what you want but I will say my c-section really wasnt bad at all! In fact I really can't imagine having an easiier recovery! And I did nurse DS within 1 hour of his birth. I held him as they wheeled me to recovery then they took him to be checked out in the nursery and DH stayed with him. I delivered at St. Catherines and it was an amazing experience!
So just keep your eye on the "prize" and know that in the end it doesn't matter how your baby gets here as long as everyone is healthy!
ETA: I was given the choice to have a c-section and I cried because I knew I should have one/would wind up with one but I was hesitant becuase I too wanted the full L&D experience. DH didnt get it, to him it seemed more practical. Just go on the day they tell you and have a baby! To this day DH says (which is based on my experience/recover that I "took the easy route". In the end there are some things they just CANT understand!
