Immunizations - adjusted vs. actual age?

What should determine what immunizations my dd should have and when she should have them - adjusted or chronological age? My dd has her 6 month visit this Friday, although her actual age is only 3.5 months. I'm also trying to limit the number of vaccinations she has per visit and determine which ones we can delay or even forgo altogether if possible. Thanks!

I was told that all immunizations are actual age. my girls had their 2 month shots when they were 38w gestation. they will have their 3 month visit when they are 5 weeks adjusted

You should be able to limit the number of immunizations per visit - I did (1 at a time) - with no complaints from my dr.

My Ped said immunizations are at actual age not adjusted, but I didn't feel comfortable giving my 4lb preemie so many shots at once. We split them so he still got them on schedule just not all at once. We only gave him one shot at a time for the combined vaccines and no more than 2 of the single vaccines at once.

Re: Immunizations - adjusted vs. actual age?

My 33weeker had his shots for his actual age not adjusted. His ped did however limit them. For his 2/4/6 month appts he got pediarix (dtap, hep b and polio) and the rotovirus. at his 3/5/8 he had the hib and prevnar vaccines. At his year he had a pediarix and hib. We are waiting until 15 months to give the chicken pox and MMR and i am only doing them both at the same time if he is in perfect health. If not then I will so one at 15 and one at 16 months.
