Implantation Bleeding Mimicking a Period?

I have a long and complicated sorry that even the head nurse at the obgyn couldn't understand... basically I had what seemed like a period, a week after it ended I started spotting and had a positive pregnancy test. So... could that be implantation bleeding? It lasted like 4 or 5 days. With my son I didn't have any bleeding of any kind so this is all new to me.

Could have been - a lot of women have bleeding throughout their pregnancy that mimics your period. I'd go to the doctor and see what's up. Have them do beta's and a sono (depending on when your period before that was). Best to sit with the DOCTOR and let them figure it out. Good luck!

Definitely could be. When I got pregnant with DD I thought what I had was my period because it lasted a few days. The following month I skipped and tested and found out I was pregnant. When I went into the doctor, I assumed I was only about 4-5 weeks, but I was already 8 1/2 weeks!

I have a sono appt July 2 and a dr appt July 7 - earliest they had available! I would have gotten pregnant from May's cycle - the nurse didn't believe it. Its just so strange. I hope it is only a one time thing... one of the best things about pregnancy is no periods

That happened to me with my second. Got what I thought was my period, a week later got a positive hpt. Went to the dr and pregnancy was confirmed but I had veryyyy low progesterone (not sure if it had anything to do with the bleeding). Got suppositories and Ds was born healthy at 40w2d

With my first I had implantation bleeding but it was very clearly implantation bleeding

Does not sound like implantation bleeding, but could be perfectly normal. As mentioned, many women bleed in early pregnancy. I had a similar situation with bleeding that I thought was a period and then a +hpt, last summer (it did not end well, but that's certainly not always the case).

That happened to me. My cycle used to be like clockwork before DD, so initially I was surprised when I got what I thought was my period about 3 or 4 days early. But then it lasted 3-4 days, so I assumed I was just having a weird month. Then the next week, I had to pee every 5 minutes, I was so exhausted I couldn't stay awake and I started feeling nauseous on the train into work, which never happened. Got a positive HPT that week. I kept bleeding lightly though, so I was immediately brought in to the Dr for a sono and I was already 7 wks.
