My friend just called me about this cuz she caught the tail end on the news

All drug makers are pulling children's cough and cold medicines off the shelves.

NOTHING IS TAINTED - they have just realized that they haven't been proven to help and some babies have died from taking them.

My doctor told me not to give any cold medicines to my DS -- he said they would not work and may be dangerous. I was so confused when I wnet to the store and saw all of these cold medicines marketed at infants -- I guess the industry is just now responding to what the doctors have known.

I have given Tylenol cough and cold to my son at 10 months old. I called my doctor and followed his recommended dosage based on his age and weight. I will probably not continue to use it given the information that so many babies died, but I feel like that had something to do with overdosing. And, I do think that when I gave it to my son, it relieved his symptoms and halped him out temporarily. I guess it is a moot point now that it is unavailable!
