Important PSA
I think we have talked about this before but it is so important that I feel ok it reiterating the information.
If you have children GET YOUR PAPERWORK IN ORDER.
We had a member of our family pass away last night.
She was in perfect health, 41 years old with two sons (one of which is 6 months old). She was fine, no symptoms NOTHING. She went into the shower and never came out.
We have no idea what happened or what she passed away from.
The man she has been living with for sooo many years is not her husband and her first son is not his.
The questions of custody are coming up already.
Long story short, no matter what is going on in your life make sure you have your paperwork filled out.
Will
Health Care proxy and the like. It doesn't take that long, is not expensive and can work wonders gosh forbid something happens.

Kelly, I love you adn bella soo much that I will harrass you until you get it done! By the end you will do it just to never have to hear me again  Seriously though. The world is scary and you just never know.
on a little personal note. I am FREAKED out about this. I have been attempting to deal/prepare for a year + about this possibility in my house (leaving JAG with no mom) and BAM here it is for someone else. Im just deflated about it all and I can't stop crying.
UGH death sucks

I'm very sorry to hear.
We just were at the lawyers getting my paperwork all ship shap just in case of a worse case scenerio since Dh is overseas and probably won't be back until after the baby is born.

OMG I'm so sorry. You're right - I need to get all of this in order. Thank you for the PSA - in the midst of such a horrible event, you thought to do us all a service - thanks very much.

I am SO sorry for your loss. How heartbreaking.
Thank you so much for posting this. I have had it in the back of my mind that this is something I need to do, but now I will get on the phone with my attorney ASAP to get this done. Thank you.

I am so sorry you're dealing with this loss. You are so right about getting everything in order. DH's father passed away when he was young and luckily they did have all in order so the family was well provided for. You would think with that great example set, that we would have everything done. Thank you for reminding me.  for your family. I hope the custody and everything else isn't too awful for everyone. And I hope you get some answers as to what happened.
