In My Last Week Of My First Trimester And Always So Nervous

Just my background...I conceived through IVF. We are due October 13. I just "graduated" officially today at my fertility clinic which is exciting..no more progesterone supposotories. My progesterone is at a 21 so they seem very satisified with that.

However, I don't FEEL PREGNANT. I am overweight so no showing through "fat".

I have no more symptoms so no indication there.

I just feel so not pregnant. I had a sono last week and eveything looked good, heartrate at 165.

But..this anxiety is killing me.

To make matters worse every few days I get a tiny winy bit of some dark specks when I wipe in the morning ONLY but the sono tech said normal and not near baby. So that makes me a wreck daily too.

Why am I not enjoying being pregnant and is there anyone else who is almost 12 weeks or remembers when they were and didn't feel pregnant? Is this just an awkward week to be in?

Thanks, sorry for the VENT!

13.5 weeks here, and totally don't feel preggo!

the symptoms disappeared for the most part around 11 weeks.

Don't worry.... it's the honeymoon phase of pregnancy.... when you regain some energy, lose food aversions, and feel relatively normal.

the only 'symptoms' I have is thirst (I drink more water than before), and having to pee several times every night.

I also have a beer belly, rather than a preggo belly, becuase of pre-preggo fluff.

I won't lie.... I'm periodically nervous about that too... and I didn't even have to go through IVF! It's just nervous mommy syndrome.

I think while we have nerves, we also have a gut instinct to when things are genuinely going wrong, versus little things that make us worry... so just try not to think about those little things....

First of all...Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon At 9 weeks, I am right there with you about not feeling preggo nor can I see a belly because I am a chubster. No m/s for me, just some extra tiredness here and there [for the record, I am always tired since I wake at 4am for work!] I did not conceive via IVF but I did have a m/c in Nov. so I am always thinking that the other shoe is gonna drop and that this being preggo is a big hoax! Chat Icon I had my 2nd sono last night, all looked great, 167 HB... so I should be excited but I am a bundle of nerves. And when I am nervous, I eat...which is no good considering my chubby status. I am also on progesterone suppositories and my # went up to 17- which the doc said was great but still gonna continue until 12 weeks.

All I can say is you are not alone sista...on many accounts! FM if you ever need to vent! Chat Icon

Oh please, I am one of the biggest worry warts on here. I had a m/c at 12 weeks so I was a wreck until then. Then I THOUGHT I would relax, but I didn't. I borrowed a fetal doppler from someone and it brought me such peace of mind. You can rent really good ones for like $30-40 a month and if you are feeling anxious you can listen to the HB. You just have to be patient to hear it. I found it within seconds the first time I used it at 16 weeks. I am looking into renting one now also.

14 wks tomorrow and just like everyone said......the second my 2nd trimester started it's like every symptom I had just POOF!! went away. No more sore boobs, no cramping, no exhaustion, no nausea, no nothing!! The only thing I've had was some muscle pulling and stretching for about 2-3 days but even that stopped so I know how you feel, it does feel like you're not pregnant. It's very weird. I try not to worry because it's all normal. Now it's just a waiting game for those first flutters so you know that they baby is in there!! Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

hang in there. I 'm sure everything will be ok. It's normal not to "feel" pregnant at this point.

Re: In My Last Week Of My First Trimester And Always So Nervous

I am right there with everyone being super nervous. My last pregnancy was chemical, I am now 8w1d, we had a great heartbeat and measured well on Saturday.

I still don't have alot of m/s, I am just slightly nauseaous every now and then, nothing major, I know, I should consider myself lucky but I get nervous it's a sign something is wrong. I wish I could be one of those people that just goes through their pregnancy with little to no worries, I know they are out there! I have some symptoms, boobs are sore, sometimes more at some points during the day than others, mild cramping. But I am getting those hormone swings and crying a little more!

I am trying to relax..it's getting a little better with every dr. visit, although the next one isn't until next Friday and I'm dying! My Mom said I won't relax until the baby is out!

I don't think I ever really "felt" pregnant until I could feel Chat Icon move.

I never had morning sickness. Had some cramping and sore BBs for the entire first trimester but those were easy ignorable.

Try not to be nervous. My first few weeks I felt fine and had no symptoms.

Re: In My Last Week Of My First Trimester And Always So Nervous

I had a MC the first time I was pregnant. So, I was a wreck this time. I could not wait for Week 14 when the second trimester starts. I had cramping at 9 1/2 weeks that made me so scared that I cried for days and finally got another U/S because I was a wreck at 11 weeks. I didn't show at all until pretty late so I didn't look pregnant either. It was really hard and I didn't enjoy the first trimester. By 15/16 weeks I started to ease up and by 18 I was enjoying it. I've been loving it since then (I'm now 31 weeks). Its a very emotional time and I understand why its hard for you to relax. Just a few more weeks and you will be safely in Trimester 2 and hopefully will feel more pregnant! Chat Icon
