In the third tri-- does the baby move around like constantly?
So, I have an anterior placenta so my alien's movement is not always detected by moi.
Yesterday and today, it's like the kid is practicing their Tae Bo in there! I am 27.5 weeks-- is this normal to feel an increase in movement? Of course there are some naps in there-- but, when the kid is moving, they are MOVING!
Also, I read somewhere that at 28 weeks you start doing kick counts-- this true?

Re: In the third tri-- does the baby move around like constantly?
My child was always very active- so I dont remember it happening more once I hit the 3rd trimester.
i did however feel less movement at the end, when the baby moved into "position".

IM 28 weeks today. Last week is when I started to really feel her. Actually, Dh felt her for the first time a few days ago. I love the feeling!

Re: In the third tri-- does the baby move around like constantly?
I have an anterior placenta and movement was very sporadic before the third tri. At around 28 weeks, I finally started feeling her a whole lot more often, seeing my stomach move, etc. I love it.

Re: In the third tri-- does the baby move around like constantly?
i noticed the mambo classes started in the last couple of weeks, so yeah i'd guess you can say there is in increase in movement.
when i went for my 28 week appt. my dr told me about kick counts...she said ideally 10 movements in an hour/hour and a half are what she wants to hear and if i notice anything less than that, to give her a call, but i just told myself i wasnt going to stress myself out cause i know if i start documenting it i would go nuts if i didn't feel the number of movements she asked for...i say as long as i feel SOMETHING i'll be happy

No kidding. I would go nuts to. Do you move your tummy around to see if the baby moves? I do and Dh thinks I am hurting her.

Re: In the third tri-- does the baby move around like constantly?
It's football practice in the 3rd trimester in there.
I did not do the count that early. I did towards the last month though.
At the end, the baby will start moving less (although you WILL feel him/her when she/he will ) because there is less room to move.
That's when you have to start monitoring to make sure the baby keeps moving. I don't remember the exact number. Some days, I would run to drink OJ after I noticed I had no felt the baby in a while. Then DS would get all excited in there from the OJ or food and move like crazy.

Re: In the third tri-- does the baby move around like constantly?
My baby is a machine-not only does she move but she is picky about my positions..she will kick the h-ll out of me until i am in the spot she likes..meaning, i get no sleep at night..she likes to sleep wheni am sitting up and if i am on my side, she goes nuts until i move..sometimes i am like, oh well, she will chill eventually but omg! I thought this was going to let up... I am in my 37th week. I am not sure if she is in position yet..she is head down but i guess this week the doc will be doing the sono etc..i am curious if she will back off once she has dropped..it just doesnt feel like she has but who knows! I am clueless as this is my first..

Completely and totally agree with Diana!
And norm you don't have to do kick counts unless your DC isn't active... at which time the Doctor will have you do them. Doesn't sound like you have to worry about it though!

Re: In the third tri-- does the baby move around like constantly?
Yes, at the point you're at and for a few more weeks you should be prepared to feel a lot of action. I'm almost 37 weeks now and the movement has died down but that's only because my 7lb chubster has to be running out of room.

Re: In the third tri-- does the baby move around like constantly?
Yes the first few weeks of the 3rd tri were def the peak for me. I also have an anterior placenta but it didn't seem to matter anymore! Often he felt like he was literally trying to push his way through the wall of my belly. Now (38w tomorrow) the movement has lessened quite a bit and I mostly feel like he is trying to roll over when he does move. Poor guy must be so squished!

Re: In the third tri-- does the baby move around like constantly?
I started feeling flutters early and often and once I started feeling kicks, I felt them throughout the day. is pretty active. Usually I'd feel a few movements and then another few movements a little while later. Over the past few weeks, I've been feeling even more punches and kicks. I also feel a lot of them over a short period of time.
I wouldn't worry about kick counts. The only time I'd even consider doing that would be if it had been a long period of time since I felt the baby.
