In training
just started training for a 3k.... I'm up to a mile and a half so far.
I have some lofty goals - I'd love to be up to a half marathon by 2009....
But its so exciting to see my running get progressively better!
Wish me luck! and if anyone has any advice- pls share!!!

Good luck!
My advice - increase your mileage slowly - about an additional 10% per week - do not add too much on any given week because it increases your chances of getting injured.10% Rule

You can do it! When I first started running, I began at a half a mile. That was all I could do with being overweight and so out of shape. Stick with it!!!! Before I knew it, I was running 5K's then 10K's then half-marathons and eventually a full marathon. You can do it!!!!!!! Keep increasing little by little and you will be met with success and motivation to improve.
