In week 15

I am going to my second OB appt today and so far in the pregnancy I haven't really had any tests done. Any idea what I am in store for today?

i would call the office and ask because if you opt for these tests timing is very important.

from what i hear some offices don't offer the options, but i would call and ask to make sure. find out if they recommend you for these tests and ask why they have not discussed it with you yet. just get the info and take it from there...

I don't know how old you are, but if you're young, your doctor may think that you aren't interested in the tests since your risk of Down's, etc. is low. You should definately ask him about the tests and he should discuss the benefits of each with you. I am, shall we say, not as young as others and definately should have had the tests done, but my doctor never discussed them with me. I had to ask for the AFP. I never had the ultrascreen because by the time I found out about it, it was too late for it. I really wish I had had it done, as it would have given me a third test on which to base my decision to have an amnio or not (which I opted not to have).

No don't worry, ask him about it today if he doesnt bring it up. There is a window of a few weeks that the test can be done, but it should be soon if you're going to have it.
