In your first trimester - change in routine knock you on your ass?

I don't know what is going on! At home I generally feel tired/rundown and a bit queasy but I've been managing. Well, this is the second time this pregnancy I've come home to Toronto to visit. The first time we flew and this time we drove. It's like I've been hit by a freight train. Yesterday I had such a stomach ache/nausea in the afternoon and felt so blah I passed out for nearly FOUR hours! Today I'm just waking up from a nap with a cold compress because of a terrible migraine. Is it possible that traveling and the change in schedule could impact me THIS much? I started both days feeling fine, and both yesterday and today within an hour or so of waking up from my nap I feel okay but it's like for 4 hours in the afternoon I literally can not function. Geez, this is rough!

In your first trimester - change in routine knock you on your ass?

I have realized that my pre-pregnancy way of life just isn't going to happen anymore. And I can't fight it. I sleep when I want, eat when I want, and generally just don't give a f%^# about anything else LOL

This basically.

Instead of making myself feel more miserable by comparing to how I feel pre-pregnancy (Novemberish) i just try and appreciate the good days and try to get a lot accomplished then. At 16 weeks, i'm still having food adversions, I have an appetite but don't want much to eat, and am still getting MS here and there.

HA.. guess i'm coming out of hiding since I cant seem to remember to change my username lol. I'll still be on my other one on here ifI remember. Chat Icon

Just a trip to the mall during my first trimester felt like I had run a marathon - it was ridiculous! I mean, doing anything required a lot of effort to muster the energy. It's normal, don't feel bad and allow yourself the rest when you need it.

I so agree, the tiredness is so overwhelming. yesterday I just passed out on the couch for 3 hours. Before this I never took a nap during the day.

First to answer Meredith's question...YES and at 26.5 weeks I still feel like that. When DH and I went to Mexico at 5 weeks I wasn't as bad but when we went to Costa Rica at 22 weeks I was out of commission for about 1.5 days and coming home was the same thing. I DEF can't do what I used to do anymore. I even learned that I have to clean a room or two a day now and can't just do one day of cleaning because then I get back pain, stomach pain, tired, and I feel broken the next day. It's rough adjusting but hopefully you'll be ok quickly.

Second...congrats AScottWolf!!!!! IDK why but I had a feeling this was coming soon!

Re: In your first trimester - change in routine knock you on your ass?

Oh Adriana, thanks for this Chat Icon

Thanks, all. It's so hard because my sister who I spend most of my time with here totally doesn't understand and she is asking me to do a million things and run around with her. And when I told her I am trying to take it easy because I've been knocked on my ass she goes "you need to work out." Chat Icon

Anyways, trying to just take it easy while here and not do too much.

weeks 7-14 suckedddddddd asss for me!!!!!

MS was no bueno and I was tired all the time. Most of time I would be asleep by 7pm. FH was not happy about that since he would get home around that time.

It will get better. 2nd trimester was heaven Chat Icon

Re: In your first trimester - change in routine knock you on your ass?

my first trimester was pretty bad I was nauseous morning and night and very very tired. I went away twice earlier on and on the first trip i was exhausted and drained the whole time.

When we were in costa rica at 9 weeks, I would let DH go out and have some drinks with his friends and had him walk me to the room after dinner I was done by like 8pm I wanted to sleep!!!!
