Indecisive causing undue stress
Started with one RE to the point of tests scripts (HSG, SA, CD3) were given. Had the CD 3 done. The Dr. was fine but it's one of those places you could see a different person each time - I really do not like that at all. But a major plus is it is in NYC where I work and it was and aould be easy for me to get to
Went to a second RE on long Island (Sat consult) wanted the same tests done. Took a day off had the HSG done DH had the SA done. You see the same Dr each time here - really like that but I do not have the time to take off for all the future appts
sorry this is so long just needed to vent - i'm stuck trying to figure out what to do next

Re: Indecisive causing undue stress
I'm sure there's a doctor out there that can offer the best of both worlds. You should be able to see the same person each time AND see someone whose office is as convenient as possible for you.
Depending on how long you have to see the RE, the office visits can become much more frequent so that really is a big factor.
Can you try to find a 3rd doctor? It may be a pain to do so now, but it could be worth it!

Re: Indecisive causing undue stress
I totally understand. I have a really tough time making my appointments (I go to work really early).
I found someone I like... and he works with me. He works in a multi-center practice, but I make appointments with him.
I'd say: find someone you like in Manhattan.

Re: Indecisive causing undue stress
I agree with that eventually you see little of the doc and much more of the nurses. I think minimal stress was important for me. There is nothing like being able to get to the office quickly in the morning and then having a quick commute to work. I think reducing stressors is so important during this time

ITA. I would either look for another doctor or go back to the first RE. I hardly ever see my doctor anymore but I am okay with that. They really don't need to be there for everything. For me the key has been how convenient my office is. I am able to go there and get to work without anyone knowing any better.
Bottom line is you have to go to an RE you can trust and are comfortable with so you have to do what is best for you
