Individual Evalualtion-how long?
Has anyone ever applied for an additional certification through individual evaluation at BOCES?
I handed in all my transcripts, paid the $125, did the whole TEACH online thing back at the beginning of June. I just checked TEACH and it still says "Ready for Review"
I already passed the CST, I'm just waiting to see if they'll accept all my credits, for 30 credits you need for an additonal English certification.
Anyone have any input about this process? My professionall certification was done so quickly, I assumed this would be too. I'm going through Western Suffolk BOCES if that helps.

I got my business certification after I already had my math certification. This was about 2 years ago, and at that point there was a 15 week wait from approval to the actual printing of the certificate. I have no idea if that is still the wait time.

well when I called to find out what exactly i had to do, I was told that if i went with NY state evaluating it, it would be 6-9 months, but if I went through BOCES, it would only be like 10 weeks, it's been about 15 now, som hopefully any day now!

If it's already been 15 weeks I'm sure you will get it any day now! I swear, this must do like a massive print-batch and send them all out at once!

Its a LONG, annoying process. It takes forever.
I applied in October. I didnt get it until March.
The reason- I was missing a transcript. They didnt even tell me until I contacted them.
Keep on top of them!!
ETA: I went through Nassau BOCES. I dont know if Western Suffolk is quicker, but in Nassau there's only one person who handles certification (and she only works 2 days a week!!)

That happened to me! I actually applied in JANUARY 09 and in JUNE found out that nothing was happening because I didn't know I had to pay BOCES on top of paying NYS!!!
