Indoor Actiivity Ideas for 14 Month Old?
For various reasons, DS and I need to stay home a lot lately. I feel like I'm scraping bottom in terms of activities at this point.
So I'm looking for fresh ideas. We read, play with his toys, watch TV, and play some simple games (chasing, catch, etc.), but I'm sure there are other things I'm not thinkig about or don't know about.
What are some things you do or did with your 14 month old inside? Are there simple crafts you can recommend?

Listen to music, sing and dance. Kids music and your music.
Scribbling with crayons.
Build a tent under the table. Lay a blanket on the floor and give him a flashlight. I went in with DD a few times and now she gets giddy when I build it, goes in by herself and brings a toy or two in with her.
Build a fort/obstacle course out of cushions.
Building with blocks/knocking them down.
Playdates?

Thanks for the ideas--I'll try the tent one, he might like that. Or the obstacle course.

The tent is a great idea!! DD laughs so much when we play tent and we can go on for a good 20 minutes sometimes longer.
I let her paint with different puddings and then she gets to lick her artwork
We both play with the magna doodle and take turns drawing pictures but she has to be the one to erase them
She loves to dance with me either spinning next to me or in my arms (which also gives me a nice workout!)

C- Patrick LOVES his Playskool ball popper. It can be a PITA to chase the balls, but it can keep him busy for a good 20-30 minutes. He is finally now getting to the age, where he will go and get the balls himself about half of the time and he can start it and put the balls back in it himself.
I just saw it this past weekend at Toys R Us ball popper
I also let him play with some BIG magnets (that won't have pieces that will fall off, or are small enough to choke on) on the bottom of the fridge or on the dishwasher.

Thanks for the ideas! Matthew has the ball popper too, and really likes it. Yeah, chasing the balls is a PITA, but he started picking them up too. I only need to get them when they roll under furniture.
We did the pudding painting today, and he LOVED it! Especially once he tasted his "paint". The paper was covered, and so was his face--I should have taken a photo.
Tomorrow, we'll try making a tent.

Mega blocks!!!!!!!! If I build something for AJ he will sit there for a while taking it apart. He also enjoys music and dancing around with me. I do make sure I close the shades so I dont give my neighbors a good laugh.
